Static residential proxies for gaming
Today, checked up to Oct 24, 2026: 2 of the 53 static residential (ISP) plans priced at 1 IP say they offer SOCKS5 and UDP. The cheapest is NodeMaven at $5, and 1 of the ten cheapest providers at 1 IP has a plan that does.
NodeMaven also sells the IP for 90 days at $13, about $4.33 a month, if you keep one address that long.

One plan per provider: the cheapest that covers 1 IP and meets the job's requirements. 51 priced plans do not say whether they have SOCKS5 and UDP, so they are left out rather than counted as meeting it (Bright Data, Byteful, Decodo, Geonode, HydraProxy, HypeProxies, LightningProxies, Litport, Massive, Oxylabs, ProxyEmpire, Shifter and Webshare). Also with SOCKS5 and UDP, but printed only as a starting rate rather than a total for your count, so named here and not ranked: Evomi's Static Residential / ISP Shared IPs, from $1 an IP a month (checked Oct 24, 2026), Evomi's Static Residential / ISP Private IPs, from $2.50 an IP a month (checked Oct 24, 2026) and Evomi's Static Residential / ISP Virgin IPs, from $4.50 an IP a month (checked Oct 24, 2026).
If you want a game to connect through one steady address that is not your home’s, the proxy has to carry the game itself, not only its web pages. Many games send their play over UDP: Riot’s own troubleshooting guide lists the League of Legends game client on “5000 - 5500 UDP, 7000 - 8000 UDP” (League of Legends Support). That needs a SOCKS5 proxy that carries UDP, on a static IP. The table above lists the cheapest plans whose providers say they offer both, priced at 1 IP. Few do: most providers’ pages do not mention UDP at all, so their plans are left out rather than assumed to carry it.

What a proxy does to your connection
A proxy adds a stop between you and the game server. Your traffic goes to the provider’s address first and on to the server from there, so the trip is usually longer, not shorter. A proxy cannot promise a lower ping, and on most connections it adds some. What it changes is the address the game server sees: one that stays the same while you rent it, in the country you choose. It does not change the rules of the game you play: read its terms before you connect from another country or a second account.
When a proxy is not the cheaper route
If what you want is a different region’s servers, many games let you pick a server region in their own settings, which costs nothing and adds no stop. If you want to keep your home address away from other players, a game played on its publisher’s own servers, as League of Legends is, already does that: other players reach those servers, never your address. A proxy earns its price when you need one steady address of your own for a game or launcher, for a long time.
What each requirement is for
- SOCKS5, because it is the proxy protocol that can carry UDP, where an HTTP proxy carries TCP connections only (HTTP vs SOCKS5).
- UDP, because SOCKS5 can carry UDP, but a provider does not have to support it, and a game that plays over UDP cannot use a proxy that does not carry it (UDP and TCP proxies).
Work out how much you need
One IP for each machine or account that plays. Static residential (ISP) plans are priced by the IP and the term; the catch column says what each plan’s page states about the traffic included. Test UDP in the trial or refund window before you rely on it: a plan that carries the launcher but not the game is the one failure this table cannot see.
What the table does not tell you
It ranks plans by cost and by what their providers say they offer. It does not measure ping from your home to any provider, or to any game’s servers, and it does not test whether a game accepts a given address. Several providers block gaming sites such as PlayStation and Steam themselves, or open them only after an ID check, and plans from a provider whose own list blocks them are left out (the sites proxy providers block).
