Static residential proxies for private browsing
Today, checked up to Oct 24, 2026: 14 of the 53 static residential (ISP) plans priced at 1 IP say they offer dedicated IPs and SOCKS5. The cheapest is Decodo at $9.99 + VAT, and 2 of the ten cheapest providers at 1 IP have a plan that does.

One plan per provider: the cheapest that covers 1 IP and meets the job's requirements. The pages of Geonode list what their plans offer without at least one of these, so they are left out too; ask the provider if you need it there. 19 priced plans do not say whether they have dedicated IPs and SOCKS5, so they are left out rather than counted as meeting it (Bright Data, Byteful, HydraProxy, HypeProxies, LightningProxies, Litport, Massive, NodeMaven, ProxyEmpire and Shifter). Also with dedicated IPs and SOCKS5, but printed only as a starting rate rather than a total for your count, so named here and not ranked: Evomi's Static Residential / ISP Private IPs, from $2.50 an IP a month (checked Oct 24, 2026).
If you want the sites you visit to see an address other than your home’s, every day, from a country you choose and for every app on your computer, you need one address of your own that nobody else uses and that your browser can send all its traffic through. That is a dedicated static residential (ISP) IP with SOCKS5. The table above lists the cheapest plans whose providers say their IPs are dedicated and that they support SOCKS5, priced at 1 IP; several sell them only in packs, and the table says how many you get.
Use case · The live comparison uses prices checked up to Oct 24, 2026; every figure in the text keeps the date it was checked.

What a proxy hides, and from whom
A proxy changes the address the sites you visit see. It does not hide what you do from the provider: your traffic runs through its servers, it sees which sites you connect to, and on a page without HTTPS it can read the page too (HTTPS proxies and TLS). It does not stop a site recognising you by your logins, cookies or browser (proxy anonymity levels). And a browser set up the wrong way can still ask your own network for the address of each site you visit (proxy DNS leaks). You are choosing whom to trust with your browsing, not removing the need to trust anyone.
When a proxy is not the cheaper route
For privacy alone, there are tools that cost less or nothing. The Tor Project gives away Tor Browser, to “Defend yourself against tracking and surveillance” (Tor Project). If you pay for iCloud+, Private Relay already hides your address from the sites you visit in Safari, though it keeps you in your own region and gives you an address other users share (Private Relay against a bought proxy). A bought IP earns its price when you need the same address every day, in a country you pick, for apps as well as the browser.
What each requirement is for
- A dedicated IP, because an address shared with other customers carries whatever they do with it, and a site may challenge or block you for it (proxy IP reputation).
- SOCKS5, because it carries any app’s connections, not only web pages, so the browser and your other apps can all use the proxy (HTTP vs SOCKS5).
What the table does not tell you
It ranks plans by cost and by what their providers say they offer. It does not test how each provider handles logs or your data: read its privacy policy before you send your browsing through it. Webshare’s own pages say its “private” proxies may be shared with a few other users, so the table counts only its dedicated plans.
