Why the advertised rate per GB is not the answer

You cannot buy the headline rate

An advertised rate belongs to a volume tier. Ask a comparison table for 50 GB and it often prices you at a 400 GB tier's rate, a plan nobody can click. Every figure here is a total you can actually pay.

The unit is not the same across this market

Of the 713 plans we track, 190 are sold by the gigabyte, 266 by the IP, 142 as unlimited, by device or by connection, and 115 by quote. Each type is priced in the unit it is sold in, and the units are never mixed in one ranking.

Unused traffic often expires

One provider sells the same 100 GB at $295 if the traffic never expires and $220 if it lapses after 30 days. Every plan here states its expiry, or says the provider's page does not.

Sometimes the provider contradicts itself

On 104 plans the provider's own pages disagree about the price. Those plans never lead a ranking; their pages show both figures with both links.
