Proxy Costs

Proxy plan data, fields, and reuse

The public JSON is the full comparison projection. The CSV is a flat export of the fields most useful for analysis. Both preserve price state, source, and time so a number cannot be separated from how it was known.

Figure: the current export contains 710 plan records from 47 providers, including 98 records whose first-party sources conflict.

As of: 2026-07-25T17:42:41.156Z, the generation time in the current proxy-plans snapshot.

Source: /api/v1/latest.json for the complete structured projection and /proxy-plan-prices.csv for the flat export.

How to get it

How to get it

Use /api/v1/latest.json for providers, full plan records, evidence quotations, source URLs, conflict values, and conflict links. /api/latest.json is the current-major alias. This contract was reviewed on 2026-07-26.

Use /proxy-plan-prices.csv for one row per plan. It includes price_state, raw source_state, source_url, price_observed_at, dataset_as_of, and conflicts_json beside the price fields. The CSV contract was reviewed on 2026-07-26.

Use /api/v1/health.json to distinguish current, stale, and unavailable data. It includes the headline figure, dataset as-of time, and source endpoint. No key or account is required as of 2026-07-26.

What you may do with it

What you may do with it

You may quote individual figures, analyze the files, and reproduce calculations with attribution to the provider evidence and Proxy Costs snapshot used.

Do not strip source_url, price_observed_at, dataset_as_of, price_state, or conflicts_json when republishing a row. Those fields are part of the claim, not optional metadata.

No separate bulk-data license is published as of 2026-07-26. Ask data@proxycosts.com before redistributing the compilation wholesale or if you need a historical or custom export.

How to cite it

How to cite it

For a market count, cite the figure, snapshot time, and dataset URL. Example: Proxy Costs, 710 proxy plan records, as of 2026-07-25T17:42:41.156Z, /api/v1/latest.json.

For a price, cite the displayed figure, the plan's price_observed_at value, and its first-party source_url. Cite Proxy Costs separately for the normalized comparison or calculation.

For a conflicting row, cite every value and URL in conflicts or conflicts_json. Selecting only the convenient side changes the evidence.

Contract and polling

Contract and polling

The source refresh is configured daily as of 2026-07-26. Polling once per day is sufficient; check /api/v1/health.json before treating a cached response as current.

The JSON contract is versioned under /api/v1/. Additive fields may appear within v1. A removal or incompatible meaning requires a new major path.

OpenAPI 3.1 documentation is at /openapi.json. llms.txt lists the same endpoints and carries the current quotable answer.
