Datacenter proxy buying guide: compare IP receipts first

Datacenter pricing is mainly an address-count market, not one bandwidth league table. The current dataset contains 271 datacenter records from 36 providers. Of those records, 163 are sold per IP, while 32 use a monthly, tiered, or pay-as-you-go traffic model. Only 22 are marked comparable per GB. A useful first filter is therefore the billing unit: fixed IP count, traffic allowance, concurrency, configurable package, unlimited product, or quote. This distinction is missing from the default view at ProxyPrice. Its live datacenter page says it is showing seven providers and puts minimum and maximum dollars per GB at the center of the table. The full page contains 34 rows across 30 named providers, but its displayed fields do not expose a purchased IP count, sharing model, bandwidth allowance, fair-use ceiling, or overage on the provider’s page rule. What shared and dedicated cost at the same size

“Shared” and “dedicated” are not interchangeable price labels. ThorData describes shared service as multiple users sharing an IP or pool and dedicated service as billing by IP and duration. ProxyScrape describes its dedicated addresses as assigned exclusively to one customer. Those are vendor terms, not evidence about reputation, speed, or success rate, because this dataset contains no controlled performance tests. Bright Data and Oxylabs provide ten matched address counts where both shared and dedicated checkout totals are published. Across those matched packages, dedicated service costs 44.4% to 72.2% more than shared service at the same count. The low end is Bright Data at 1,000 IPs. The high end is Oxylabs at 200 IPs. The matched receipt is the safe comparison. A shared floor from one provider and a dedicated floor from another can differ in location coverage, commitment, rotation, refund terms, and traffic rules. Package size changes the apparent per-IP price

The per-IP rate falls as the package grows, but the checkout total rises. Decodo’s general datacenter ladder moves from 100 IPs for $3.50, or $0.035 per IP, to 15,000 IPs for $300, or $0.02 per IP. That is a 42.9% unit-price reduction and an 85.7-fold increase in the monthly receipt. Its dedicated ladder moves from 3 IPs at $1.85 each to 2,000 IPs at $1.15 each, a 37.8% unit-price reduction. The same effect appears in both sharing models. Bright Data shared service falls from $1.40 per IP at 10 addresses to $0.90 at 1,000, a 35.7% reduction. Oxylabs dedicated service falls from $2.25 per IP at 3 addresses to $1.20 at 1,000 and remains $1.20 at 3,000, a 46.7% reduction from the smallest package. “Unlimited” can still have a priced ceiling

IPRoyal’s iproyal-datacenter-30d record combines two official statements: bandwidth is described as unlimited under fair use, while the terms publish 100 GB per proxy per month and pool usage across the order. At the published starting price of $1.57 per proxy, using the full 100 GB produces an included-cost equivalent of $0.0157 per GB. Using only 10 GB produces $0.157 per GB. The source does not publish the post-allowance charge, so a cost beyond 100 GB cannot be calculated. ProxyScrape’s proxyscrape-dedicated-br-1mo record is more calculable. Five Brazil IPs cost $10.45 for one month. Its terms give “unlimited” datacenter plans 1 TB per $5 paid, with a 10 TB minimum, then charge $5 per additional TB. Because the price formula would otherwise yield only 2.09 TB, the published minimum makes the included allowance 10 TB. Full use of that allowance makes the initial receipt $1.045 per TB, or $0.001045 per GB. The next TB costs $5, so the marginal rate after the ceiling is about 4.8 times the full-use included rate. These calculations do not turn per-IP plans into universally comparable per-GB offers. They show how one known workload maps to one receipt. The buyer still needs the required address count, expected traffic, sharing model, billing term, and treatment after any allowance. If a fair-use threshold or overage rule is not published, the result should stay unknown. A defensible buying sequence

  4. Use dollars per GB only for products that actually sell traffic or for a stated usage scenario with a published allowance. The data directly contradicts two broad ProxyPrice ranges. Its dedicated floor of $2 per IP is above published dedicated rates of $1.15 at Decodo, $1.20 at Oxylabs, and $1.30 at Bright Data. Its statement that 1,000-plus IP packages fall to $0.30 to $1 per IP misses both sides of the market: Decodo reaches $0.02 at 15,000 general datacenter IPs, while named 1,000-IP dedicated packages remain at $1.20 to $1.30.
