Does annual proxy billing save money?
Annual billing was cheaper in 19 of 26 exact monthly-versus-annual product pairs observed on July 25, 2026. Those 19 annual checkouts reduced the cost of 12 monthly payments by 19.63% to 22.22%. The other 7 pairs, all ProxyScrape dedicated datacenter locations, showed no annual discount. Annual billing often saves money, but the commitment label alone does not prove a discount. The only reliable comparison holds provider, product, allocation and quantity constant, then compares the annual checkout with 12 exact monthly checkouts.
This dataset contains 26 pairs that meet that rule. They span Infatica, Litport, Byteful’s Ping Proxies catalog and ProxyScrape. The calculation is 12 x monthly checkout, followed by repeated monthly total minus annual checkout.

The money values in the table are stored checkouts from matched rows in the complete observed price table. The repeated monthly total and saving are computed from those fields.
Nineteen pairs publish a real commitment discount
Infatica contributes two matched pairs. Its mobile annual row includes 72 GB for $432, matching 12 monthly purchases of 6 GB at $45 each. The repeated monthly cost is $540, so the annual saving is $108. Its residential IPv4 annual row includes 300 GB for $922, matching 12 monthly purchases of 25 GB at $96. The repeated monthly cost is $1,152, which puts the annual saving at $230. Infatica pricing source, retrieved 2026-07-25T15:57:28Z
Litport contributes 15 matched pairs across datacenter, ISP and mobile device products. The annual reduction ranges from 19.63% for a shared static datacenter address to 22.22% for the U.K. and Italy private mobile devices. Those percentages are computed from each exact annual checkout and its corresponding monthly row. Byteful’s Ping Proxies catalog supplies two more pairs. Its datacenter address costs $2.50 monthly, so 12 payments total $30. The annual checkout is $24, saving $6. Its ISP address costs $3.50 monthly, so 12 payments total $42. The annual checkout is $33.60, saving $8.40. Both reductions are 20%. Byteful proxy pricing source, retrieved 2026-07-25T17:42:41.156Z
Seven pairs show that annual does not guarantee cheaper
ProxyScrape publishes matched one-month and 12-month dedicated datacenter rows for Brazil, Canada, Germany, France, India, Thailand and the United States. For the first six locations, the one-month checkout is $10.45 and 12 payments total $125.40. The 12-month checkout is also $125.40. For the United States, the one-month checkout is $9.50 and both routes to 12 months total $114. ProxyScrape datacenter pricing source, retrieved 2026-07-25T16:33:08.221Z
Those rows have an annual commitment, but the computed discount is zero. Describing them as discounted because of the term label would invent a price movement that does not exist.
A lower annual equivalent still requires a larger checkout
The annual plan’s monthly equivalent is useful for comparison, but it is not the card charge. The Infatica mobile annual checkout is $432, even though dividing it by 12 gives a $36 monthly equivalent. A buyer choosing the annual row commits $432, not $36. The same distinction matters when demand may shrink. Saving $108 on Infatica mobile is valuable only if the buyer still needs the matched product for the year. Cancellation, refund and unused-capacity terms can change the risk, but a term that is not published must not be assumed favorable.
Annual comparisons also need equal quantities. The Infatica annual rows package 12 times the monthly traffic, so the match is valid. A yearly product with a different total allowance, address count or allocation should remain outside this panel until the capacity can be held constant.
The buyer answer
Calculate the annual option against 12 exact monthly checkouts for the same product. Show the cash saving and percentage, but keep the larger committed checkout visible. Then confirm refund, replacement, traffic lifetime and capacity terms.
In this observation, 19 matched products save roughly one fifth under annual billing, while 7 save nothing. Annual can be cheaper, but only the matched arithmetic proves it for a specific plan.
